The function of the Advisory Committee is to provide local knowledge, expertise and opinion to advise the future development and implementation of programmes within the Initiative. The committee will act as a conduit for continued consultation between the Initiative management team (project team and steering committee) and individuals or groups who wish to engage with the Initiative. Individuals and groups will be encouraged to direct their views through the relevant advisory group representative. This structure will allow greater levels of co-operation between the stakeholders and role players involved in the environmental protection and the management of tourism in the Burren.
