Geosites - Burren and Cliffs of Moher Global Geopark
Nine sites of geological importance form the network of geosites in the Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark. These sites are promoted and managed as the main characteristic Geopark sites. Each site has on-site visitor and site interpretation information. Further information on the Geosites can be found in the Stone, Water & Ice: A Geology Trip through the Burren 64-page colour illustrated booklet. This publication is available in shops, visitor centres, education centres, bookshops throughout the Burren and Co. Clare. The booklet may also be purchased directly from the Geological Survey of Ireland

In addition to the network of geosites are the many visitor and education centres, conservation organisations, farm tours, and ecotourism businesses that contribute to the wider Geopark network. These geosites and ‘not-specifically geological’ sites are described throughout this application |
