- Terms of Reference
1. To develop overall strategies for the development of Eco-Tourism in the Burren.
2. To provide information and opportunities for engagement and feedback for local communities on the workings of the Group.
3. To explore and define the geographic boundary and difference between inner and outer Burren for Eco-Tourism development and identity.
4. To ensure the promotion of environmental sustainability is at the core of what we do.
5. To ensure the promotion of a co-ordinated Burren based education programme.
6. To ensure that the Eco-Tourism developments we promote provides direct benefits to local communities.
7. To represent Farmers, Communities, Businesses and Education providers interested in the development of Eco-Tourism in the Burren.
8. To establish sufficient support mechanisms for investment, promotion and networks to ensure long term sustainability of Burren Communities in an internationally recognised Eco-Tourism area.
9. To establish criteria to measure and monitor the success of strategies.
