Lahinch Surf School is based at the beach hut on Lahinch promenade on the west coast of Ireland and provides a safe, relaxed and affordable introduction to the exhilarating sport of surfing. The two-mile long beach in Lahinch with its variety of breaks caters for novice, intermediate and experienced surfers. 5 miles further south you will find Spanish Point, another perfect surfing beach. Both are some of the best places in Europe to learn surfing with the advantage of the slower rolling Atlantic waves. John McCarthy, current Irish Senior champion and member of the Irish Surf Team, invites you and your friends to come and experience the thrill and excitement of surfing at 'Irelands best well known surf school'.

Lahinch Golf Club Old Course

Description
Lahinch Golf Club Old Course was established in 1892 and it looks out across the Atlantic Ocean and is quite a challenge on a windy day. Often refered as the Saint Andrews of Ireland it has a multitude of challenging golf holes. It hosts the South of Ireland Amateur Golf Championship annually. This course should be on every golfers itinerary.

Bens Surf Clinic

Bens Surf Clinic was set up to provide quality surf lessons for all levels of surfer. Based in Lahinch we provide the next level in surf coaching, you can learn on your own board or have gear provided. Groups are kept small with personal attention from a level 2 surf coach with 15 years instructional expeirence. If you find your surfing has stalled Bens Surf Clinic can provide the tips to advance quicker.

Vaughan Lodge Restaurant

Description
The Seafood Restaurant at Vaughan Lodge has developed since 2005. Initially we dallied in "fine dining" cosmopolitan style but our guests preferred a more traditional menu.We hired Carol O Brien as chef in 2007  - Carol hails from Kildare and she honed her skills at Dromoland Castle, Gregans Castle and Cullinanes.With an eye to the local palate, we revised the menu. This year we continue to add to the popular menu. There is always Seafood - Monkfish, Sole, Cod, Halibut, Scallops, Prawns and daily specials. Excellent Burren Lamb and local dry aged Angus Beef Fillet and the ubiqutous Crispy Duck are all staples. The style of cooking is simple. We let the freshness and natural tase do the work and add as little fuss by way of garnish as possible. Michael runs the restaurant each evening with a lovely crew of servers.The atmosphere is informal- plenty of banter and wit abounding. Enjoy the local photographs mounted on canvass taken by Michael when he had spare time!! We are open for Dinner in the evening from 6.30pm and otherwise by appointment.
